What about swag, stickers, novelty pens, white papers?

Given the large volumes of waste conferences can produce, we are asking for your support and assistance for creating a cleaner, healthier environment for our event. We all need to recognize the environmental benefits of going “green” and our obligations to do our part as good citizens. In keeping with our Green Meeting Strategy, our conference delegate kit will be produced electronically and sent to delegates in advance of the conference.  If you would prefer a hard copy, you may download and print at your own discretion.  In addition, we are keeping our “swag” to a minimum with name badges, a pen and a notebook – all made from recycled materials. We’re using projections over posters as much as possible, pitchers of water rather than bottles, and we ask for your participation in the following ways:

  • Reduce as much printed or other related event materials as possible for the event. Wherever possible, use vegetable-based inks on chlorine and acid-free recycled paper.
  • Make use of the three types of recycling bins (paper, bottles, plastic and cans) which will be located strategically in the conference venues to adequately separate and effectively collect the different materials from the event.
  • Where we can, our materials are made from partially or fully recycled materials, and we encourage you to leave materials with us to be recycled.
